Third Point Press: Now Seeking Submissions

Founded by a trio of writers hoping to connect their local writing community with the broader literary world, Third Point Press is an international magazine with strong hometown roots. Each issue showcases writers from Lancaster, York, and Harrisburg, PA, alongside authors from around the globe. To get a sense of what they publish, you can read past issues online.

Third Point Press publishes three yearly editions of its journal online—in June, September, and December—and they also plan to publish chapbooks and anthologies.

Right now, they’re accepting submissions through August 14th for issue 14, scheduled for publication on September 25th. Then, they’ll reopen to submissions from October 1st through November 13th for issue 15, scheduled for publication on December 20th. Authors should only submit once per reading period.

Poets may submit up to five poems. Authors of fiction may submit one short story, 3,500 words or fewer, or up to three flash pieces, 1,000 words or fewer each. They like character-driven stories with expert command of language and voice. Authors published by Third Point Press receive $10.

Third Point Press accepts submissions online, not via email or by post. They accept simultaneous submissions but ask that authors withdraw work published elsewhere. They do not accept previously published work, including work published on blogs or Facebook.
