New Zenith Magazine: Now Accepting Fiction Submissions

New Zenith Magazine is a brand new print and online publication, launching their first issue this July. They plan to publish an eclectic collection of short stories and flash fiction, as well as cartoons, illustrated stories, photo stories, and poems. The magazine will not include nonfiction; however, nonfiction writers may submit essays about writing for publication on New Zenith’s blog, livewritelovelearn. New Zenith Magazine will include work by authors of all ages, and they will publish submission in all genres of fiction excluding erotica. To get a sense of their style, you can browse their blog at https://livewritelovelearn.wordpress.com/.

New Zenith will update their online content monthly, and their print magazine will be published four times a year. The deadline for submissions to the first print issue of New Zenith is June 30, and the magazine will be released on July 31. All published authors will be paid for their contributions.

Fiction writers may submit up to three short stories, 3,000 words or fewer, or three works of flash fiction, 1,000 words or fewer. Poets may submit up to five poems. Visual artists may submit up to five works of art in any of the following categories: cartoons, illustrations, illustrated stories, photographs, or photo stories. New Zenith accepts submissions via email, but not online or by post.

Right now, New Zenith is also accepting flash fiction submissions inspired by the prompt, “I woke up and found myself . . .” Fiction writers may submit one piece of flash fiction following this prompt, 400 words or fewer. The exact words of the prompt should appear in the piece.
